Upcoming Edm Festivals
EDM festivals offer one of the greatest opportunities to witness some of today’s hottest DJs. They’re renowned for their incredible lineups, stunning stages, and unique experiences.
With so many upcoming electronic dance music festivals, you’re sure to find one that suits both your taste and lifestyle. We’ve rounded up the best ones for you to check out this year!
Desert Daze
Desert Daze has been around for 10 years and offers a diverse lineup of music. Its four stages offer mostly rock and hip-hop genres but also Latin, rap, alternative and EDM sounds.
The festival takes place at Lake Perris State Recreation Area, a well-equipped campground in the California desert. Here, festivalgoers can enjoy both its beach and lake, as well as plenty of shade and other amenities.
Desert Daze may not have the same capacity as Coachella, but it still draws a substantial crowd with headliners such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Tame Impala and Beach House.
They’ll be joined by JJUUJJUU, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and others for three days of music in 2022. In addition to musical performances, there will also be screenings and talks featuring Hamilton Morris from Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia; Shelby Hartman (DoubleBlind) and Micki Pellerano; remote-midnight messages from Karen O, Jarvis Cocker and Tiny Chef; pop-up improv comedy from Cardinal Redbird (UCB) throughout the weekend; plus art installations by Tarik Barri and Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show will take place as well.
Desert Daze has seen its fair share of setbacks over the years, yet has nonetheless become a beloved event for both attendees and organizers. With its stunning setting, welcoming staff, and top-notch food, Desert Daze provides an enjoyable atmosphere for guests of all ages.
As a longtime Desert Daze attendee, I’ve had some of my favorite moments at the festival. One such memory was witnessing Tame Impala perform Lonerism in its entirety on the Moon Stage.
Another vivid memory from that evening is Perfume Genius’ performance on the Beach Stage. This band strives to break boundaries, and it was an absolute delight to witness them perform.
III Points
III Points is one of Miami’s biggest electronic music festivals and it’s back in October! Set to take over Wynwood Arts District with an eclectic lineup of musicians and artists, III Points promises an immersive experience through visual art, film, food and style.
Established in 2013 by four friends, III Points has become a pillar of South Florida’s music scene. The festival draws both local and international artists to perform for an enthusiastic audience.
This year’s festival promises to showcase some of the greatest edm artists, such as LCD Soundsystem and Rosalia. Other renowned acts include Porter Robinson, Flume, Fisher, Black Coffee, James Blake, Joji, Chris Lake and Orbital.
If you want to be part of the action, make sure you purchase tickets to this event before they go on sale. There are various ticket types available such as general admission and VIP passes.
A VIP ticket for the event provides access to a reserved viewing area as well as other amenities. These may include air-conditioned lounges, phone charging stations, full-service bars and private bathrooms.
Fans who desire an up close and personal experience with their favorite artists should consider investing in VIP tickets, though these tickets can be quite pricey.
