Edm festivals in dc
For fans of electronic dance music (EDM), there’s no better place to experience it than at an EDM festival. These events boast a stellar lineup, stunning stages and unforgettable experiences.
The DC area is a mecca for dance festivals. Recently, Project Glow – hosted by Insomniac Events with Club Glow – concluded its two-day debut at RFK Stadium.
Desert Hearts Music Festival
Desert Hearts Music Festival, situated in the remote deserts of Southern California, is a one-of-a-kind electronic dance music event. For over 15 years, this event has served as an oasis for electronic dance music fans looking to escape the hectic lifestyles of modern-day festivals and enjoy some peace and serenity during their weekend of performances.
At the inception, a group of DJs and music lovers from San Diego formed an intimate party that would eventually become internationally acclaimed Desert Hearts. Since then, their creative journeys have brought them together with some of music’s most celebrated artists and DJs.
Today, Desert Hearts is an independent music movement consisting of biannual festivals, a free record label and City Hearts parties. All events follow the same philosophy as its original concept – “one stage, one vibe and one love.”
After a long absence, Desert Hearts returned to Los Coyotes Reservation this year to offer members of their community an unforgettable new experience. This relocation marked a pivotal shift in a layout based on feedback from members; most notably, they reinstated their beloved One Stage, One Vibe format that had been in place at DH since its founding.
Another significant change was the implementation of a daytime Desert Stage with sand and water, an entirely different setting than their former venue at Los Coyotes Reservation, where these elements weren’t available.
At day, the Desert Stage was a hub of music. DJs spun an eclectic blend of house and techno sets that kept things interesting. Though some sets were more progressive, it was easy to get into the rhythm. Plus, everyone there seemed chill – making it the ideal spot to unwind and take in the sights.
As nightfall approached, the Heart Stage came alive. Unlike the daytime Desert Stage, this one stayed open until dark with the same music but with brighter lights and vibrant hues than before. Additionally, lots of lasers and lights were shooting out from beneath the disco ball for stunning rainbow effects!
