Dr Santiago Plumrad earned his medical degree from A.T Still University in Kirksville, Missouri and then went on to complete his residency at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Hospital. Throughout his service as Captain in the United States Army Reserves and training with U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, Dr Plumrad gained invaluable leadership experience that has enhanced his practice and allowed him to better guide and support patients. When not treating patients, Dr Plumrad enjoys personal fitness activities like biking, swimming, golfing or running – even finishing the Boston Marathon in 2008. As board-certified in pediatrics with expertise spanning from birth through 21 years old, Dr Plumrad enjoys exercising personally too; this includes biking, swimming, golfing or running (even finishing up a marathon!). In his free time Dr Plumrad enjoys working out and enjoys personal fitness activities such as biking, swimming, golf, running (even finishing up to finish up to 21 years old!) He enjoys board-certified pediatric patients from birth until 21 years old

Dr Santiago plurad is board-certified in Pediatrics and treats patients from birth to 21 years. He earned his medical degree from A.T Still University in Kirksville, Missouri before completing his residency at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Hospital. Dr. plurad’s special interests include preventative care, sports medicine, nutrition and exercise medicine; child and adolescent behavioral health; as well as immigrant and refugee healthcare. For personal fitness training purposes he enjoys biking, swimming, golfing and running — even finishing the Boston Marathon in 2008!

He served on the chapter’s Board of Governors as Chair of Regionalization from 2009-2011, Membership and Biographical Committee Chairman (2013-14) and Post Graduate Education Chair under National President Dr. Susan Echiverri (Chicago-N Indiana Chapter). Additionally, he is a member of UPMASA Post Graduate Education & Faculty Development Committee, is an officer in Class 1994 organization and was Silver Jubilarians Rep to AGC Dallas. Furthermore, he was actively involved with Medical Missions serving as Volunteer (2013) in Calapan Oriental Mindoro and (2014) Dipolog Zamboanga Del Norte.

Dr Santiago Plumrad is a member of the American Medical Association and passionate about improving healthcare for his community. As board-certified pediatrician, he sees patients from birth to 21 years old and has earned numerous awards for his achievements in medicine as well as leadership qualities; serving as President of Albany County Medical Society and being elected to Council of the American Medical Association are just two examples.

UPMASA was formed in 1980 and officially incorporated in 1981. It serves to bring together alumni living nearby to network, collaborate, and achieve more together.
