California Edm Festivals
California, known as the musical capital of the world, hosts some of the finest music festivals with star-studded lineups.
For fans of trance music, Insomniac presents Dreamstate SoCal – one of their most acclaimed events. This gathering brings together fans from around the globe with DJs that are rarely seen elsewhere.
Dreamstate SoCal
Dreamstate SoCal is one of the world’s premier trance music festivals, produced by Insomniac and held annually at NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California. Notable artists featured include Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and Giuseppe Ottaviani.
Trance festivals are electronic dance music events featuring DJs who create an euphoric state of trance among attendees. Trance music typically combines high-tempo chords and drums with melodic beats in a relaxed environment – making it easier to lose yourself at a trance festival than other genres like EDM.
Trance music is a popular summer festival choice, as it allows listeners to get lost in the music. Additionally, its more melodic sound draws a more passionate following than EDM does.
At this annual festival, trance DJs provide high-energy sets. Many of these artists are renowned for their psychedelic sounds, making it easy to get lost in the music.
Dreamstate SoCal 2017 will unveil an all-new lineup, boasting several trance acts. For instance, Abraxis will perform a rare set on the stage.
The set will feature classic trance and psytrance music as well as some original tracks from Abraxis. Be prepared for an unforgettable performance!

Lightning In A Bottle
Lightning In A Bottle is a boutique festival that consistently books high-quality electronic music lineups while creating an experience around art installations, speakers, yoga and community camping. Its origin story is unique – it started as a birthday party for founders Josh, Dede and Jesse Flemming who wanted to create an environment where people could explore their inner selves without feeling judged or overwhelmed by festival waste.
Many festivals boast about being “more than just a music festival”, but only a select few really live up to this promise. LIB was one of the pioneers in creating transformational festivals that combine personal growth workshops with electronic beats in an mind-expanding setting.
At LIB, there are four captivating stages featuring an eclectic selection of music genres. From live and electronic icons to underground artists and more, these stages cater to everyone’s interests and guarantee to keep attendees dancing long into the early morning hours.
This lineup is diverse and showcases a variety of genres, such as electro, dubstep, house and bass. Notable names in the industry include American bass music prodigal son GRiZ from Britain, British indie-rock sensation Glass Animals from Canada-Haiti and more.
This year, LIB celebrates its 20th anniversary with an exciting lineup that promises to delight its loyal audience. The iconic Lightning stage will host some of electronic music’s most captivating and in-demand performers such as HypnoVision label boss REZZ, playful genre-defying production duo SOFI TUKKER and Grammy-nominated electronic producer and singer ZHU.
Other genre-defying live acts include multi-instrumentalist and vocalist duo Phantogram, Canadian composer-recording artist Caribou, fully imaginative performance by Beats Antique and more.
The Lucent Temple of Consciousness is another unique aspect that sets LIB apart from other festivals. Here, you’ll find yoga classes taught exclusively by master yogis or group meditations guided by visionaries across multiple fields. Plus, it boasts a healing sanctuary complete with oracles and professional therapists for added therapeutic benefit.

No matter the weather, I had an enjoyable festival to celebrate the New Year with friends I cherish. However, it’s essential to remember that alcohol isn’t recommended for anyone under 21, so be mindful about how much alcohol you consume.
